Indeed, I have a standard alternative birthday I use as well.

This discussion reminds me of an article some one wrote in a magazine I
was involved with in the 90's entitled, Fractal Demographics, which had
some fun playing with the idea of attempts by corporates to data match the
collected lies and half truths from their customers.

And this is not to mention the basic challenge that exists with people
legally changing names, moving address, changing jobs, etc that makes
tidying a teenager's room seem a complete doddle compared to information
management in a corporate data centre.
