People like me don't use Windows. We don't have the Conficker (not
"Cornficker", by the way) problem, though we feel the pain when other
people's infected hosts send out waves of spam, or make millions of
pointless ssh connection attempts.

I agree with you that we should treat the network, the infrastructure,
as a public good. If you seek to include end-user equipment in that,
then I stop agreeing with you.
