I've been trying to work up a haiku version of twitter (admittedly
only in my spare time, which is admittedly mostly walking out of the
shower).

Let's see now ... 7, 4, 4, 8 ...

That's not simple to map to 5, 7, 5.

But waste not, want not:

     Hashbrowns for dinner.
We have run out of ice cream.
     Why did the dog sneeze?

Or, for the purists who insist on a seasonal reference:

     Hashbrowns for dinner.
We have run out of ice cream.
     But winter has sprung.

Thanks, Peter!!

P.S. To paraphrase Fred Pilcher in the SMH on 13 March:

     Postings in Twitter:
     Seldom poetic, but they're
     mercifully brief.
