CoveritLive uses that extremely rare and sophisticated technology
called JavaScript.

Why is it used? Because the LIVE part of the liveblogging entails
adding new content, editing existing content, moderating readers'
comments etc. This cannot be done with static HTML. And once it's
done, it's done, and you can see the archived liveblog just as the
live viewers did.

"Why do people make these things so difficult?" Um, the "people"
didn't turn off JavaScript in your web browser. It would have been
turned on by default. I think the "making it difficult" process
happened elsewhere. ;)

Sometimes I feel that quite a few Linkers choose to turn off all their
browser features just so they can which that things then don't work.

P.S. If you the tyres off your car's wheels, the journey becomes
uncomfortable and the car handles poorly. I really wish carmakers
didn't make it do difficult...
