Just FYI: iTunes does not store any podcasts, it is merely a directory 
of them. Podcasts are plain RSS feeds with enclosure fields. If you can 
find the original URL for the podcast itself, you shouldn't need iTunes 
to access it.

I'm sure there are plenty of RSS Feed readers for all operating systems 
that can read an iTunes-style podcast and download the appropriately 
linked MP3s.
