A current notice on Facebook is warning people that their picture profile may be used by Facebook for advertising (if the user does nothing to change security settings - and a security setting that was not previously there).
You'd think that whilst posting completely revised terms and conditions, everyone would be encouraged to read them (I've not seen any notice of a change), or alternatively, if a new marketing 'idea' is about to be implemented by users which might affect their privacy, that this would be flagged to all users, too. But no, that's not the general way of doing things, apparently.
