Innovation ACT provides free training in entrepreneurship and $70,000
of awards for students at ANU and University of Canberra. This year's
program is being launched 6pm, 8 April 2010 in Canberra:
There are slides and videos of last year's presentations available
online, including my talk on "Innovating to lower costs and carbon
emissions with ICT".
Mentors are needed for the students. Last year the team I mentored
decided to dress up as a pantomime cow for their pitch (against my
advance) and ended up winning a prize.
At present the Innovation ACT is not part of a formal university course.
But I have suggested the program be turned into an assessable course,
so student get credit for taking part.
