I stand corrected. There is no evidence of pressure or action being taken
by the gummint in the USA, such claims aside in the blogosphere.
Reports I am reading on the web indicate two reasons for the takedown,
1. copyright violations (asserted by Amazon) and 2. a mass DoS attack
on Wikileaks in the USA.
Now this isn't to say that the US is not actively involved in persuing
Wikileaks. Wikileaks donations financial processor has been blacklisted
and discontinued its services. And Assange claims the DoS atatcks originated
by US gummint action. But then again, he would say that.

It has long been known that birds will occasionally build nests in the
manes of horses. The only known solution to this problem is to sprinkle
baker's yeast in the mane, for, as we all know, yeast is yeast and nest
is nest, and never the mane shall tweet.
