Hey, if disintermediation is a word, then intermediation certainly is
]. They might also want to make sure that they have full access to a
copy of what the other mirrors have, and perhaps a small amount of
warning about what is coming next.

Is it really a mistake that they didn't cloak the ownership of the
address thoroughly? Perhaps they want people to feel they are being
monitored if they use random mirrors. After all,  in reality it is
probably easier for them to do traffic analysis on well known  mirrors
like wikileaks.ch than it is to do traffic analysis across 1800 random
mirrors, so making people feel nervous about random mirrors might
actually be in their interests.
