I strongly doubt that WikiLeaks would so obviosuly incriminate itself
by doing anything other than what it claims to the mirrors. It would be
a smoking gun for the US state.

Which raises the thorny questions of

(a) what risks are those downloading the cables exposing themselves to?
(b) what risks are those maintaining mirrors exposing themselves to?

Persecution/proseuction of either activity is an international legal
quagmire.
