I think I've mentioned here before, that I use Skype to talk to the
US to landlines and mobiles. It's a way to test the quality of
service. You can either buy a monthly package or just by the call.
They have single country packages or world packages. I use a headset
with microphone, but the inbuilt mic and speakers on the laptop work
in a pinch. I just like the better volume from the headset.
Skype to skype is free anywhere in the world.
I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it already.
There is another one called Gizmo if you want open source.
