An interesting issue, since the device is unlikely to offer everything that everyone wants, so a compromise will be made in every instance.

I'm eyeing it very closely, since I often travel on aeroplanes with up to 20 laptops at a time (usually at least 8 in my carry-on): reducing the size and weight of this parcel will be a godsend for me, and avoid the hefty excess baggage charges that I suffer often. The functionality of the device will appeal even with some limitations.

Interestingly, if people can remember, the initial iPhone launch had a veritable tonne of missing features: no 3G, no MMS, no apps, no replaceable batteries, no two-way camera, etc. Hasn't stopped 40 million being bought.
