I have nothing to back this up, but according to a friend at coffee 
this morning, the AEC system isn't processing up to standard. They 
supposedly normally do 300/hour, but were down to 16/hour this 
morning. I don't know any more than what she heard on the radio. So 
having a DIY option may or may not be a good thing.
