ABSTRACT:
This project aims to assess the potential benefits of adjusting a web
transaction processing load allow a web server to reduce power
consumption in response to the availability of renewable energy. Could
the load be adjusted in response to second by second changes in energy
available from a wind farm or solar array? The results of research and
tests will be presented. The significance of Google's recent acquisition
of a wind farm will also be discussed.
