This sentence got me thinking about Joe Sixpack's expectations of the
NBN. (It's not aimed at Jan, she understands all this stuff)

If people are expecting everything to work 10 to 100 times faster on the
internet once they get the NBN, they are in for a bit of a surprise. The
bottleneck that is the network will be replaced by the bottleneck that
is the server. And that's just in Australia. The international and other
national network bottlenecks will not change.

Many sites will not be any faster or more responsive.

Isn't there a danger that there will be something of a backlash from
people who will spend good money and get little for it?
