I heard an interview with the publisher or editor of the Guardian. 
They were talking about the News paywall and how it didn't work the 
way they thought it would. Paper sales went down. Paywall subs were 
something under 20,000. But the Guardian has something like 
16,000,000 readers. Which do you think advertisers would buy into?
