Nice.  I'm just basing my assumption (which it most certainly is) on
the reports almost every year of some deaths due to this scenario and
the likelihood of the numbers being higher without air conditioning.

This doesn't mean the excessive power consumption of air conditioners
is a good thing, it certainly isn't, but there are other issues to
consider and health and life are pretty high on my list.
