Ummm, that's actually the problem with the Auto industry.
China and India are producing 850cc cars that sell for under three
thousand dollars and get 80 mpg.
In fact, they're so good at it that Detroit has moved the majority of
it's design and manufacturing base to China.
GMC 350 and Ford 350 Trucks, Hummers and the V8's are giving way to
hybrids, EV's and economical 3 and 4 cylinder runabouts.
Sort of like Mainframes from the 80's downsizing to ATX/ITX form factor.
