Having freshly attended the 'Singularity Summit' in Melbourne myself last 
month <http://www.singinst.org.au/singularitysummit2010au>, the subject puts 
words on the seemingly inevitable.. as does this article:

There's also a video too of Google CEO "jokingly" talking about this concept 
of a "Google implant" (towards the end) as well as the 'creepy factor' of
