Next weekend, 2nd and 3rd October, Couchwarriors are running their second 
annual BAM event (Battle Arena Melbourne), featuring individual and team 
tournaments in a range of fighting games.

The inaugural BAM event in 2009 turned out to be the largest event of its 
kind ever staged in Australia, and this year's should be even bigger.

Tournament games will be a mix of 2D and 3D, including Street Fighter 3: 
Third Strike, Super Street Fighter IV, BlazBlue, Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 
4, and Virtua Fighter. 

Even the more casual end of fighting games will be taken seriously at 
this event, with Super Smash Bros Brawl and its predecessor Super Smash 
Bros Melee included in tournament play. One of BAM 2010's international 
guests will be here specifically for the latter; Mew2King, possibly the 
world's best Melee player.. Prizes will include games, DVDs, and Blu-rays.

The event will be held at CQ, Event Room 2, 123 Queen Street, Melbourne, 
and will run almost all weekend: 9am to midnight Saturday, and 9am to
