Hi Ross,
This guide is really good. As someone who has looked at how well the
concepts about the NBN are understood by Joe/Jane Public, this
document will go a long way to answering their questions. The Q&A
format is one I've chosen for representation of these issues using
video.
My only notes are minor:
* Captialisation of words in the tables should be more consistent.
* Map on page "getting connected to the NBN" - can't really see the
site names on my printout
* page numbers?
* on page "After the NBN switchover" the guide refers to a bundle of
services (voice, broadband, data services). For a better understanding
by punters you might replace "voice" with "telephone".
* "For people with HFC cable connections". This could be made clearer
with a before/after diagram of the STB, cable box and NBN box.
* on page "Choosing a service", the term "Bandwidth Used" is poor.
Consider "Download usage".
* the data in the table "estimated download and upload speeds" would
benefit from a visual representation to compare speeds, times and
qualities.
* how about wrapping up the document on a positive note, reinforcing
the benefits of speed, ubiquity and reliability. (rather than "how to
complain").
* In the first part of the Guide the format of "Key Points to Know" is
followed by an expansion on each item. This format should be used for
the other sections too.
great work!
George
