Broadband speeds will affect saleability of properties in the UK

-saleability-of-properties-in-the-uk/>
According to the Office of National Statistics in the UK, 85% of the
population are regular internet users. With advances in internet
technology, individuals and businesses are becoming increasingly more
reliant on having instant access to high speed broadband. Statistics
show that 69% of UK internet users would be put off from purchasing a
home if it did not have a high speed internet connection.
Furthermore, 74% of people surveyed considered having access to
broadband to be of critical importance which shows the growing demand
and dependability on broadband in modern times.
UK property portals are now looking to list the broadband speed
alongside other key information such as number of bedrooms, bathrooms,
reception rooms and room size dimensions demonstrating its importance in
todays property market.
Broadband speed inequality is set to reduce in the future. The UK
Government has committed to spending £830 million to ensure that
superfast broadband connection is available to every community. However,
for the time being broadband connectivity speed is an important factor
that home buyers are taking in serious consideration.

This meme seemed to take a while to take hold...
I used to look for comercial and domestic property in the nineties that
had "clean" swept" copper close to an exchange so I could run Pairgains
at amximum speed...
I would never have rented a property that was more then (approximately)
three streets away from an exchange.
