Let's see:-
* Vodafone cuts services. Nothing unusual there, so did every other 
provider in Egypt, as far as I know;
* Vodafone sends pro-regime text message to all subscribers. I've heard 
no reports that any other provider did the same;
* In response to protests, Vodafone asserts that they were directed to 
send the texts. I've heard no reports that any other provider received 
similar direction;
* Vodafone now says that the government co-opted their network to send 
the texts <http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/303365>. I've heard no 
reports of them doing the same to other networks.

Embarrassing doesn't quite cut it.
