My local gas station disagrees with you.

About 3 months ago I was paying around US$3.10/gallon.
2 months ago it was $3.30/gallon
A month ago it was $3.50/gallon

Today I saw one place selling at $3.95/gallon, although most are around
$3.80.

I'm not going to be surprised to see it hit $4.00 in the next week or two.
