Opportunities, yes. Available, yes. Do they actually reach the vast 
majority of the electorate?

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. As any 
farmer knows, if the livestock is constantly harassed (say, by a 
sheep-dog running around, yapping and nipping at their heels) they can 
starve in the midst of plenty.

Abbott's media manipulation, abetted as it is by ICT, reaches the vast 
majority of the electorate. Those you mention don't reach more than a 
tiny minority.
