I'll add one to the list - the one that keeps me reading the dead tree
version of books...

Yesterday I spent around 90 minutes sitting in a plane on taxiway, waiting
for the weather to clear at the airport we were headed to. As the aircraft
door was closed and we were only metres away from an active runway the rules
are that electronic devices had to be turned off, which meant that everyone
with the Kindles, Nook, and other devices all sat there for the ~ 2 hours
from the door closing until we reached 10,000 feet without anything to read
but the Sky Mall catalogue, whilst those of us with paper books were able to
spend the entire time reading.

Whether the requirement to turn these devices off makes sense or not
(especially for the e-ink versions), the simple fact is that probably 50% of
my book reading time at the moment is during phases of flying where e-books
are simply not allowed to be used. For me, that's a showstopper for e-books!

  Scott.
