Thanks to Stephen and Irene for their heplful comments and sources.
I've now sussed out that Facebook and perhaps some other ISP(s) will
be appearing immediately before me. That may colour the questions
put to me.
I understand that the Committee has brought more pressure to bear on
Facebook, at least in relation to the difficulties that the AFP have
had when pursuing particular matters (such as grooming).
My leanings at this stage are:
- to strongly support the feds on that aspect
- to stress (yet again) the multiple negative aspects of Facebook's
defaults, settings management, rule-changes without notice or consent,
and general untrustworthiness - *especially* for young people:
