As one of the Amigos, its my view that if you want to use a mailing list
to discourage other people from expressing their opinions - or to
characterise what other people write in such negative terms ("claptrap")
without sufficiently detailed supporting arguments - then
you should not use the Link list for this purpose. Maybe the other two
Amigos will have a different view, but I would be surprised.

If the other Two agree with my view of what is and is not appropriate
for Link, then I suggest you direct messages which don't meet these
constraints somewhere else. You can always create your own mailing list
with whatever rules or lack thereof you like. If you do, I would
support you announcing it once on Link.
