I had the interesting experience of listening to Richard Stallman speak at the ANU a few years ago. I was so excited about hearing from this legend. That lasted about two minutes once he started speaking. He really should stick to coding in the basement. It's wonderful to believe in a cause and advocate for it but he seemed to be a zealot trading on making outlandish statements. It actually reminded me of Pauline Hanson.
What's the point of kicking someone once they are dead? OK, he doesn't agree with how Steve Jobs did things. That's hardly big news. Come to think of it, is there anyone Richard Stallman doesn't have bad things to say about, except himself of course?
Cheers.
