Having gone through the Sydney International (T1) terminal twice now in the
past week, I can confirm there's no free Optus Wifi, only their Free
Internet Kiosks that have been around for years.

There IS free wifi through much of the terminal, but it's provided by
Expedia (with an SSID of "Free Wifi from Expedia.com").
