[LINK] Google Glasses no joke [was: Well, it is April]

I thought Siri was bad enough, but the Google Glasses proposal is
perhaps the greatest privacy challenge we've yet seen. Wearers will be
gifting the world's biggest infomopoly a real time unfiltered video of
their daily lives. With no Use Limitation conceded by Google at all.

I don't think it was a coincidence that Google amalgamated all their
business units' privacy policies and sharing arrangements a few weeks
before unveiling Project Glass.

With facial recognition, Facebook has X-Ray vision into members' photo
albums; with Siri, Apple knows peoples' plans and the contents of
dictated text messages and emails; now Google sees what we see.

If governments did what these groovy social media companies do, there
would be riots.

Cheers,

Steve.
