Actually, that's a good point. The cultural differences in the US
(anti-government as limited by the Constitution) and other English
speaking democracies that have a British heritage comes into play.
The 'market' place is to deal with these sorts of things (yeah,
right), but government shouldn't get involved in restricting it
through regulation. But governments aren't allowed the same lee-way
because government = bad, must be tolerated at best. We have a far
different sensibility in Australia, I think, or at least haven't
bought into the 'free market' in the same way.
