[LINK] RFC: Infrastructure for Electronic Interaction in 1987

I'm trying to put together a short rendition of communications 
facilities relevant to eCommerce and suchlike, as at 1987, but with 
enough historical background to make sense, and with a quick look 
forward to developments since then.

In my first cut below, there are bound to be errors and omissions, 
and there could well be some downright clangers.

As always, constructively negative feedback much appreciated!
(Off-list I guess, unless linkers generally are likely to be interested).
