Exactly how does ceasing to require customers to enter a PIN or sign make 
payments "more secure" for Coles' customers? 

I'd be, to say the least, astonished if it somehow does, and imo right 
there is the evidence of mere regurgitation of PR pap, rather than 
journalism.
