*I used to think the denial industry was just a bunch of selfish old 
farts intent on denying responsibility for the consequences of their 
profligate lifestyles, so they could leave the costs to subsequent 
generations. It's more complex than that, but still little more than 
excuses for selfishness, laziness and parsimony.
