Linkers
I have been reading references to a new web phenom called Pinterest.
Just heard of it recently, but it was evidently started in 2008.
Never went there until I saw a slideshow about what is in it.

http://pinterest.com -- combination of 'pin' and 'interest', where
'pin' represents a 'pinboard', like what would have called a bulletin board.

I don't get it. Pretty pictures clustered together. When I clicked a
link, I got 404 error for what supposedly would be the site from
which the image came. I found if I right click on the link and open
in a new tab, it worked (the redirection within Pinterest failed and
gave the 404).

Anyone else understand this site?

Then I read that clones are already popping up.

What is with this idea of "like" and why would I care what complete
strangers think about their 'loves'?

Our truest response to the irrationality of the world is to paint or
sing or write, for only in such response do we find truth.
