Just a Sunday whinge...

The new Netbank is a travesty. It was launched today, and the promo videos show that it's 'particularly helpful for older people'.

Main issues:

1. Okay, so it's just rolled out, so it might be slow. But a style sheet clocking in at 105kB is one good reason why. It's painfully slow.

2. Font sizes. I never thought I'd apply the 'ransom note' epitaph to a banking website, but this has to be seen to be believed. Dollars, cents and balances are all in different sizes and font weights, and different to account numbers and names. It's a dog's breakfast.

3. Worse still, the font size of balances is now so large that I will no longer use the website on a public computer, or on my own computer in my workplace: I don't want to broadcast these details to all and sundry, but it's so large that you can read balances from 10 metres away.

4. Links are broken across the site: I expect this in beta testing, but not at the launch.

If there are Netbank users out there who use Internet Explorer or Firefox in Windows, I'd be keen to hear your thoughts.
