And here I was, thinking it was just me. Is the blanket advertising a

Agreed. Then again, I guess the government needs to do something to 
counter pathological Opposition. If the NBN project is cut short, more 
of us will end up with even worse crap.

It would be nice to think we can make our democracy better. 
Unfortunately, it just keeps getting worse.
