The recent reduction in Television channels suggest that some 
transponders have been lost and the current delays are due to rerouting 
delays at the BGP level. This is somewhat similar to the Optus "C" 
battery run down and subsequent loss of service from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am 
during the Winter.

ILS isnt reportiong any flare activity but that maybe because Goes15 has 
had some intermittent faults. Other sources indicate continuing activity 
at levels that may interfere seriously with transponder functionality.

Ausnog would most probably be quiet because they don't really want to 
answer all the neck craners questions and until BGP propagates there is 
nothing they can do anyway.

As a backup I seriously suggest obtaining an alternative feed asap as I 
am expecting satelite based Internet to become almost unusable in the 
near future; (although you have a good selection amongst European 
providers.... try Orange)   I'm pretty sure that most of the GCC (larger 
towns) have Microwave and fibre links. Etilsat will doubtless be able to 
assist depending on which part of the GCC you are in, of course.  There 
is more fibre crossing and recrossing that Gulf than most people 
realise. It's almost worse than the Thai, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam 
Taiwan basin.
