Thanks Alex and Stephen for the list of alternate URLs.
Did the osom.dse site go down today as well? It seems to share a lot in
common with the CFA site.
My bushfire plan calls for access to a summary of incidents from my
mobile. I need to be able to simply and quickly check current status
while out and about. Some (most?) of these alternate sites are not
mobile-friendly (including the DSE site). I don't want maps, images etc.
I want a fast, clear list of incidents and preferably a way to filter by
CFA region. The CFA_Updates Twitter feed is probably the best backup
option, although it links back to the flaky osom.cfa site.
I do have backup plans including a scanner radio, the phone and of
course my nose and common sense.
...Richard.
