The core mistake was letting the chinese coder use the guy's credentials to
login to the local network. He should have setup a "chinese wall" so to speak
and proxied everything via private SSH tunnels to his home account and so on....
...if the guy outsourcing his job was carefully doing peer review of any of
his "submissions" checking for "quality" and so on, before checking the code in,
then I would have to say he was just being a very good technical manager who had
found a way to automate what he couldn't be bothered coding himself. ;)
