The action certainly isn't with data privacy.

The 'Cybersecurity' Division of PM&C (i.e. that agency's attempt to 
wrestle the anti-terrorism agenda away from AGD) has been working on 
a 'National Trusted Identity Framework' (NTIF) as a centrepiece of 
the intended White Paper.

So far, the only concrete outcome has been endorsement of the AGD's 
project to extend the (unloved) Document Verification Scheme to the 
private sector.

To its credit, the NTIF activities have included consultation, and 
civil society has been on the invite list.  Maybe ACS missed, but 
ACCAN, APF, EFA and ISOC-AU have been involved:
