iview is only available on windows and mac, for me at least,
progressively my many devices have failed to allow me to view iview
programs.

I have 3 android tablets of various sizes and OS versions, and a
smartphone which all used to stream iview and one by one, as upgrades
have occurred and as the ABC has changed the requirements, each has
stopped serving content, the last one as recently as a week ago.

I thought no problem I will used chromium on my ubuntu laptop, but alas
it too demonstrated the exact same behaviour as the tablets/phone and I
had to resort to windows to watch the program :(

I read last week that the ABC is finally planning to release an android
app in December so that will surely enable android devices, my fear is
that it will be limited to android 4.3 devices and alas I don't own any
with that version. :(

We're still a long way off standardisation aren't we? The consumer
constantly must buy new gear to get the latest supported versions and
the producer either wears the agro or must commit to the cost of
supporting multiple versions as a price they pay for the throw-away society.

sigh

cheers
brenda
