Java 8 is out and no longer runs unsigned code as earlier releases before
Java 7 u45

OpenJDK, which is now the base for Oracle JDK and the reference
implementation, is included in all Linux distros...

So to me a Java based solution is not only cross-platform but much better
than South Korea ecommerce and its mandatory ActiveX ...
