IMHO, IT is not the answer, it's not even the question. IT is the 
mechanism by which processes and information management are automated. 
What really matters are the processes, the information and the problems 
they solve, not the software or the code.

Teaching coding is like teaching bricklaying and expecting the students 
to understand town planning, architecture, and infrastructure services 
such as water supply, sewerage, transport, communications and power 
generation/distribution.
