The glowing news item regarding the Holberton software course must indeed appear
ironic for you David, especially after your extensive experience educating in this area.
It makes your humour doubly ironic, self-depreciating and well appreciated by Linkers.
But, I guess the point is how good/effective/worthwhile is the learning experience on
offer, compared with more traditional pedagogy/andragogy? Being a retired educator
myself, I’m well aware that peer-group project-based learning can be hit and miss, the
blind leading the blind resulting in enormous gaps in graduate professional knowledge.
So, I guess time will tell how good the courses on offer actually are? At this stage, it’s
hard to tell for eg https://www.coursereport.com/schools/holberton-school#reviews
Cheers,
Stephen
