I have an unused LinkedIn account as a placeholder, same for Facebook.
Completely unused except for password changes. My LinkedIn profile says
"don't bother" so anyone that attempts to connect with me is either an
idiot or a victim of some LimkedIn automaton, either way I ignore them.

I've been quite taken by Mastodon though. Certainly no good for
confidential communication, but for social communication it's very
good. Nothing to sell, federated, open source...
