Agree go for a battery rather than solar panels - you may even be paid
to store energy. Ausgrid looked at community batteries but I think their
provider, who they allowed to store batteries in AUSGRID substations,
came out on top (under regulation AUSGRID only has transmission not
generation or storage). They wanted regulation reviewed.
I met a man on an electric vespa like scooter and he said he had a deal
where he bought panels that were part of a virtual power station.
