[LINK] Telstra turning of 3g network

Just tried to call some number and got a message saying phone will not 
work including for emergencies, when network shut down.

I presume it is the number I am calling. Surely the number if not the 
phone can be transferred. The last was on what appeared to be a landline!

When is the 3g network being turned off by the various telcos?
