[LINK] Telstra turning of 3g network

Soon. The issue is your phone most likely. Telstra has started issuing
those advisories to get people's attention to check if your phone has
VoITE or a 4g system. You don't need to transfer your number, just
either turn on VoITE on your current handset or make sure it's turned to
the 4g network setting. If neither are there, you'll need a new phone.

Hope that helps. By the way, I think it's Vodafone that has already
turned off 3g.
